Bears can be intimidating because of their strength and their size, but they can also be adorable animals. This is perfectly demonstrated below, where a man and a black bear have developed a strong, unique relationship.
Patrick is from Asheville, North Carolina where black bears are very common and known to be comfortable with humans.
For Patrick Conley, starting in the late summer of 2017, a bear family started visiting him regularly, almost becoming like family themselves.
Normally only she visits him. But this time, she brought her first litter of cubs to meet him. He really couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw the lovely family of cubs playing behind the mother. “Children are the cutest things to ever walk in the woods, but I’m a bit biased,” he wrote in the caption for the video.
Simone was extremely comfortable with Patrick and she walked into his porch very casually. The cubs are clearly not as comfortable as their momma, as they have never been here before, but they trust their mother.
But this scared Patrick completely. It’s amazing to see what normally animals don’t interact with humans are so friendly.
Both of the cubs run to the nearest tree to climb and play with each other, but the mama bear stays close behind. They are still getting used to this new world.
After a while of roaming, climbing, and playing, Simone tells her fresh cubs it is time to go home. The three head back to the forest to go home.
What a beautiful, admirable friendship indeed!
